This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a color printer to print posters, flashcards, phonic readers, and colorful literacy centers (letter/picture matching games, word family picture cards, various anchor charts, and Common Core posters). These resources will be used during literacy centers and small group math centers. In addition, a color printer will help us publish our stories and poems in color and we would be able to proudly post our work on the walls.

Research shows that "bringing the entire color spectrum into the classroom will help to keep students' brains alert and interested."

My English Language Learners are constantly using visual cues to help in their comprehension of reading, yet all students benefit from having more than one of their senses engaged during the learning process.
