My students' little bodies jumped with joy when they saw the new work center and music materials that were added to our classroom!\r\n\r\nThe new light table brought a new way to discover and learn. They are excited to work with numbers and letters on a daily basis. Most importantly, they are learning to work with each other and finding new and creative ways to use the materials on the light table. This light table allows the activities to be open ended and provide exposure to academic skills that will be applied in Kindergarten. \r\n\r\nThe rhythm sticks have also been a favorite for the students. We use them with songs that teach rhythm. These new music tools support students ability to control their impulse and become aware of their personal space around them. I am able to see their enormous smiles and hear their giggles as they hold their sticks and follow the music. They have been a great addition to our music and movement time. \r\n\r\nWe are hoping to use our puppet stand as soon as we get funding to purchase our set of ABC puppets; that I know students will love!\r\n\r\nI thank you for providing for students new ways to learn and play!
