My Students

Our school went from 400 to 900 students over the summer due to the demand for a high-quality, college-preparatory school in our neighborhood two years ago. I work in a neighborhood where only 2.2% of the population has a college diploma and over 68% have never completed high school. For the students in my room, 100% will graduate high school and 100% will have acceptance to a university, college or technical school when they receive their high school diploma.

From day one of entering our school, the question is not if they will go to college but where!

The path to college and beyond begins in primary school in creating a lifelong love of learning. The path to success starts with having fun while learning!

My Project

This project is about enhancing our classroom materials to assist in creating an environment that mixes learning and fun. These Lakeshore File Folder Games will help me teach scholars those critical skills in a variety of ways.

With great visuals and hands on manipulatives, my scholars have a better chance to engage in their learning and retain new skills.

These Lakeshore items are a strong resource that will support their academic growth as they learn to analyze texts for richer reading comprehension and craft a greater understanding of math concepts. My scholars hunger for knowledge and fun and these requested Lakeshore items will feed their need.
