My Project

My school is a neighborhood, charter school. We serve 330 students in PreK through 5th grade. Ninety percent of our students are below the poverty line and receive free or reduced-price lunches. Our zip code ranks highest in our state for incarcerated parents, child abuse, and single-parent​ families. Though these stats are staggering, our kids are resilient, determined, and one success story after another.

Research shows that students who participate in interesting, hands-on, creative lessons, think deeper, question more, and retain more information.

I want my students to love school and enjoy being in my classroom. I show my students many different ways to learn and practice skills. I show them that learning is FUN! Students learn more when they are interested in what they are learning. Materials from Teachers Pay Teachers are engaging, creative, colorful, and meaningful. They would allow me to provide exactly what my students need!
