My Project

My students are a diverse group of regular education, special education (SPED) and English language learners (ELL). They are a great group of students that are making the adjustment of being back in the classroom after COVID. Since COVID students have returned missing some soft skills such as communication, motivation, self-confidence, and stress management. This project, 'Learning is fun!' is intended to give the students a welcoming environment that will help to strengthen some of the soft skills. I am requesting a Cricut machine and the accompanying accessories to help me create a warm and inviting learning environment. The Cricut machine will help me to create attractive bulletin boards, eye-catching academic content, and fun and engaging Choose Love content to help strengthen their SEL skills. I believe that by using the Cricut as a tool to create a more welcoming environment, students will feel more comfortable returning to the classroom post COVID and will feel more comfortable working on the soft skills I mentioned before through a fun, attractive and engaging classroom environment.

The Choose Love lessons which teach the SEL(social emotional learning) skills, is an integral part of learning the soft skills such as communication, motivation, self-confidence, and stress management and the Cricut machine I am requesting will help me create a warm and inviting environment in which to work on those skills post COVID.

Help me to purchase the Cricut machine and tools necessary to create the visuals to transform my classroom into a warm, inviting learning environment. Students will thrive in a warm, attractive and welcoming environment and that will promote the academic content we are learning in school and promote the Choose Love strategies to promote the SEL skills that were missing from students due to returning to school post COVID.
