So, when the materials arrived, they were very happy to begin this project. \r\n\r\nThe students had selected their animal from the puzzles, and then they began their research. After completing their research portion, came the fun part! They got to start building their enclosures. The students are in the process of building their enclosures. They are utilizing the ribbon/ tape cutter to help them decorate their enclosures to match their animals' habitats. The cardboard scissors are especially helpful for cutting through the cardboard when individualizing their habitats. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for this project are to have the students complete their enclosure and share their findings in oral presentations with the class. We will definitely be able to use these supplies in multitudinous ways for various building and craft projects in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1763600002805,"projectUrl":"project/3d-diorama-enclosures/9883110/","projectTitle":"3D Diorama Enclosures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ichiki","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3089185_orig.jpg?crop=1852,1852,x23,y671&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1682460864647","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/l-ichiki"},{"teacherId":3089185,"projectId":9808560,"letterContent":"When the resources first arrived, my students were beyond excited. So, when the materials arrived, they were very happy to begin this project. \r\n\r\nThe students had so much fun playing these games with each other. First of all, to play outdoor games is so much fun. The mixture of gams that were purchased where a lot of fun for them. Students were able to play spoon carrying the egg, potato sack race, relay races, 8-legged race, 4-legged race, and half-pipe with golf ball run. The students learned a lot about working together as a team, including how to communicate positively and provide constructive criticisms as opposed to put-downs. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for this project are to have more field days in which students can practice their teambuilding skills. So, when the materials arrived, they were very excited to begin this project. \r\n\r\nThe students are still learning to make the leis and working on their first ones. However, the students who have already completed one were able to gift them to other teachers. We had special guest teachers who came to our school, called the PULSE lab, that did Project-Based Learning (PBL) with the students to learn about our water source in Hawaii and how to take care of these natural resources. The students wrote thank you cards when the month-long lessons were done, and the students who had finished their leis were able to gift them to the teachers who taught the lesson. The students were very proud to be able to gift leis that they had created. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for this project are to create additional leis. We will be donating them to the school, so that the school can give them to special guests who visit our school. These materials ensure that every student is equipped for success, immediately removing a common barrier for those who may not be able to afford their own. Knowing that every student has the tools they need to participate fully in lessons is a huge relief and a powerful step toward educational equity.\r\n\r\nBeyond the essentials, your donation of items like stress cubes, gel pens, squishy mochi toys, and fidgets has been crucial in building a positive and supportive classroom culture. They transform encouragement into tangible recognition, motivating students and making our learning environment a truly joyful place to be.\r\n\r\nBut, if we had to pick one item that stole the show, it would be the large digital clock. The moment I brought it into the classroom, the students' reaction was priceless. They were so excited and couldn't stop talking about it for the entire day! It's amazing how something so practical can spark so much enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your remarkable generosity.
