Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I am teaching a fabulous and eager group of children. Most of the children in my school receive both free breakfast and free lunch, and many come from single-family homes. Many come from homes where the primary language spoken is Spanish. Some of these children don't have many experiences outside of their community. However, I want my children to know they are loved and I love teaching them.

Although some of my students may be reading below grade-level standards, I would still like to be able to instill a love of learning in them.

I am fortunate to be able to do something I love every single day. It is my privilege to work with these young children and help them learn and develop each day.

My Project

I am asking for a gift card to a website called Teachers Pay Teachers. This website is a place where teachers create materials to be used by other teachers. They have used the materials in their own classrooms with their students so I know they will be able to be used in mine. I can help supplement the curriculum and help to bridge any gaps that my students may have. Sometimes the curriculum can be boring, but there are some interactive games and activities that I can purchase that will help my students enjoy learning.
