My Project

My second grade students LOVE learning! I like to make learning fun for them, and one area this project could help make learning fun is to make take home Math kits and have iPad pencils for their iPad projects.

My goal for this project is to make learning fun!

These take-home math kits are for each student to have one and take home for the school year. In order to create these math kits, we need Ziploc bags, mesh pouches, laminating sheets, dice, blocks, and counters. Their parents and families can utilize these kits as a fun family activity. The games put together in these math kits can be on a concept that we are currently working on or for fluency practice.

Our school also uses iPads for learning and another way to make learning fun would be to have iPad pencils readily available to help with their iPad projects. These kid-friendly iPad pencils could be shared amongst their peers when working on a variety of iPad projects.

My second grade students are special because they are so excited to learn and also share with their families.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
