My Project

My classroom is a self-contained special education room with learners with varied needs from pre-k to 4th-grade levels. All of my students learn in a variety of different ways, but many of them are hands-on learners. Every year, the learners change but one thing remains the same. Play is the best way to encourage them to learn!

Learning comes in a variety of forms, and for my students, the more interactive the learning, the better the outcome!

Games that help with sight words, counting, letters, and numbers are more effective than worksheets. Blocks, magnets, and building sets that encourage creativity and cooperation are the most effective ways of teaching social skills. Puzzles and learning tasks that help reinforce our lessons keep the learning alive and create long-lasting skills.

For this project, many different learning activities are included. Puzzles, blocks, learning games, learning activities, and building sets in a variety of formats will keep my students involved with their academic progress in a way that is more effective than pen-and-paper learning.
