Your support has truly made a remarkable difference in both my teaching and my students' learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe iPad has completely transformed how I handle grading, planning, and communication. It allows me to efficiently track student progress, provide timely feedback, and access teaching resources all in one place. The organizational tools have also helped me keep our classroom running smoothly—everything from lesson materials to student work is now more structured and accessible.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, I can spend more time focusing on what truly matters: supporting my students and creating an engaging, well-organized learning environment. The students have noticed the difference too—our lessons are more interactive, and they're excited to use technology in ways that enhance their learning.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your incredible generosity and for believing in the importance of education. I love the Ipad! It not only helps me to enter grades quickly, but I can also pull up websites that the kids use and discuss with them what they need to work on, and how they are working hard to accomplish their goals. I really appreciate this Ipad!\r\n Several of the kids really needed the awesome headphones that you purchased! There are times that students are all working at their own levels on phonics skill. Headphones help them to concentrate on their specific skill, instead of paying attention to what their neighbor is doing.\r\n Snacks! Holy Moly! These kids are really enjoying having a snack during the week before lunch, or in the afternoon to help break up the day. I have had kids tell me that they are hungry because they haven't ate since lunch the day before. The cereal bars are great for helping these kiddos get through the morning. We are loving playing with the play dough and the creating projects with the construction paper and card stock. The paper organizer is a game changer for kids who can handle getting their own paper!\r\n Thank you so very much!","fullyFundedDate":1755697251928,"projectUrl":"project/eating-snacks-projects-cleaning-and-e/9477090/","projectTitle":"Eating Snacks, Projects, Cleaning, and Entering Grades!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Paton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5610732_orig.jpg?crop=1853,1853,x0,y321&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763758791780","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5610732"},{"teacherId":6013841,"projectId":9087751,"letterContent":"My students have been loving the new resources you helped provide! One project where we used floor cushions, dry erase boards, dice, and magnetic boards really stood out. During a math game activity, students worked in small groups sitting comfortably on the floor cushions, using dry erase boards to solve problems and dice to add an element of chance and excitement. The magnetic boards made it easy for them to visualize concepts and collaborate.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with enthusiasm. The fidgets and chair bands helped some students stay focused and engaged throughout the lessons, while the SEL books sparked meaningful conversations about emotions and teamwork.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps will be to integrate these tools into more lessons, especially focusing on social-emotional learning alongside academics. We plan to use the tic-tac-toe board and SEL books to encourage cooperative play and communication skills during group activities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is making a real difference in how our students learn and interact every day!","fullyFundedDate":1747144058909,"projectUrl":"project/indoor-recess-talk-share-and-play/9087751/","projectTitle":"Indoor Recess: Talk, Share, and Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tyne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6013841_orig.jpg?crop=1707,1707,x0,y28&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738193437367","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6013841"},{"teacherId":9911748,"projectId":9354308,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my 3rd grade classroom! It did not disappoint! My class was very excited when the cabinet came in. Then the other items came in slowly. They were excited to see what we were receiving everyday since most things came in within a period of 10 days or so. They couldn't believe that we got donations from people whom we have never met. I reassured them that there are good people in this world who want to see them be successful! \r\n We have a period at the end of the day called \"Teacher's Choice\". Kids who have their work completed are allowed to work with items from the new STEM cabinet that you donated to us! Kids try hard to complete their work because they all want to play with these things. The Hex Bugs were included with your donations. The kids especially love exploring and creating new enclosures for the Hex Bugs. They also love the ease of getting out the 100 piece puzzles and competing against each other to see who can finish first. \r\n We will be using the clay after spring break to make models of the different lifecycle stages of a butterfly. The kids love science and this project will give them a real hands on approach to the different stages of the life of a butterfly.","fullyFundedDate":1734639473883,"projectUrl":"project/help-organize-3rd-grade-stem-activities/8957098/","projectTitle":"Help Organize 3rd Grade, STEM Activities!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Paton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5610732_orig.jpg?crop=1853,1853,x0,y321&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763758791780","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5610732"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25591","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":454,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"2 - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"16.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":26.4,"schoolId":25591,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Centennial Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Centennial Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/streator-elementary-school-district-44/centennial-elementary-school/25591"}
