This is my first full year as an Elementary Learning Support Teacher. My students are PreK4 through 5th graders with a variety of academic abilities. My students are part of a learning support classroom where they receive additional assistance with their classroom content. My school supports inclusion so my students are in the same classroom as their typically developing peers and then receive additional assistance, as needed, in the learning support classroom. Each student learns in their own, unique way and thrives off of positive reinforcement.
Throughout their time with me, we build their foundations of learning.
We begin with the basics of letters, sounds and numbers and grow into setting individual goals and determining what we need in order to accomplish them. My students struggle with self confidence and independence due to struggling with academics within the classroom. We strive to become more confident and more independent throughout the school year.
My Project
These fans will help my students remain comfortable within the classroom while utilizing flexible seating in order to learn. The temperature of the classroom can be hot, which makes it hard to focus on learning. Many students have trouble focusing already because it is an undesired task or they struggle with the assignment topic and any little thing is enough to distract them.
These fans will help the students cool off in a classroom that is not air conditioned.
These blower fans are quiet in order to prevent further distractions. By being comfortable in their environment, the students will be more inclined to participate and achieve high expectations within the classroom.
