My students need updated geography resources to learn about the world around them and playground supplies to build their teamwork skills and physical education.
Our fifth-grade classroom consists of 36 hard-working boys and girls. We are located in a rural community just north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are fortunate to have a very supportive community that values education and the betterment of our students.
Today's students have grown up in a face-paced, active world and their educational activities need to keep up!
The classroom needs updated resources to provide educational opportunities to learn inside and out! I would love to keep the excitement and engagement of my students strong so they can continue to develop academically and socially!
My Project
The students in my classroom need updated geography materials to learn about the world around them. The large wall map I ordered will help them learn about the location of countries around the world as well as the country we live in. The large map we have currently is out of date, faded and torn. Having new and brightly colored maps will help to build their excitement. In addition, I am purchasing various games that not only help with geography skills, but also build communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
Outside learning is just as important and meaningful as inside learning!
The purchase of various types of balls and jump ropes allows for active learning. Whether it is playing a game directly related to geography or playing traditional playground games, the students build teamwork skills and develop their physical well being.
I am so excited to have new materials to engage and excite my students while they learn!
