Our students truly enjoy having a dedicated space they can visit throughout their day. Your kindness made this valuable addition possible!\r\n\r\nWe utilize our senses especially during moments when students need to recharge or find calmness when feeling overwhelmed. The sensory walk offers them the opportunity to pause, visit various stations, and engage in activities that incorporate movement, heavy lifting, and mental shifting—tools that help soothe their minds and bodies. One of the students' favorite stations is the mountain station, where they use a weighted ball to trace a mountain shape drawn on the wall.\r\n\r\nThis walk is accessible to many students who benefit from it during the school day. It's incredibly rewarding to see students take a moment at each station and complete the activity, knowing they are refocusing themselves to return to the classroom refreshed and ready to learn and enjoy the rest of their day.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for supporting our sensory walk.
