My classroom has a very traditional set up with a very traditional feel. We work with what we have, however it would be more ideal to have more collaborative workspaces in the learning environment. With the addition of a dry erase surface table, students working in groups would be able to problem solve, collaborate, create, and be more independent workers. In addition to a new table to enhance learning, by adding high-quality wobble stools, students who have difficulties focusing will be able to better focus while sitting in a specific location. Research proves that moving while working helps with retention of information and I hope to add that to my classroom for the students who will benefit from it.
