My students need outdoor furniture that will create an outdoor learning space. We need convertible bench.

My Students

By the end of the year, I hope that my students know that I care for and respect them. I hope that my students feel safe at school and are willing to try new things. I hope that my students take ownership in the hard work they put into learning each day and take pride in their successes.

My school is incredibly supportive of teacher and student learning and works very diligently to do what is best for children on a daily basis.

Teachers and students, alike, learn from each other and as we learn, we implement and improve in our own classrooms. My students are a group of PHENOMENAL fourth graders who demonstrate hard work, kindness, and an eagerness to learn every day. My students come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and have varying interests in everything from sports to music to robotics.

My Project

My students (as well as all other students at my school) need a space that allows them to learn in a new space. By creating an outdoor classroom, my students will be able to learn in natural light breathing fresh air. We are fortunate to live in an area where the weather is pleasant most of the year. The outdoor bench/table combos will be set up on a grassy area outside of our learning commons and will be accessible by all classes at our school. The benches will be somewhat flexible and will rearranged to work for different purposes. The benches could be set up in a circle for a discussion about a book. The tables could be used for outdoor math stations or partner work. By having an outdoor space we will be able to leave the walls of our classroom, spread out, and learn in a new space. This classroom will be used by every class in our school and will be in a common shared space. Our students have enjoyed the opportunities to learn in more comfortable and new surroundings and this outdoor classroom will be another wonderful space for students to use. Students get so excited when we take our learning outdoors, but currently we don't have a space set up to facilitate learning and community outdoors.

Your generous donation to our project will improve our school by providing an open and comfortable outdoor learning space for students.

This will have a positive effect on students' engagement at school because they will be able to learn in a space they already love: the great outdoors.
