My Project

Our students are amazing! They are hard working and always looking for a challenge. This year they have taken on writing on a daily basis for longer periods of time and doing close reads of our literature. All of which is no small feet for students with Dyslexia and ADHD! We are looking for new seating options for our classroom that allows our students to move their bodies in ways that focus their energy and increase their attention.

Students will take turns at the different seating stations to figure out which serve their physical and mental needs the best.

While we hope our students leave us with strengthened reading and writing skills, it is equally important that we feed their self-regulation abilites as well. We believe these different seating options will give them space to tune into their bodies and feed their minds.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
