My Project
I often see my students on their phone playing video games whenever they can. So I thought why not transfer that energy and enthusiasm into game design and learning? Throughout the fall semester, I have introduced opportunities for students to explore coding and artificial intelligence on the Alexa coding platform. Students are fascinated by the unlimited possibilities in the coding world. During the day-to-day instruction, I also use gaming platforms such as Blooklet to create review games for students to compete among themselves. Students are very engaged in competing and I just love seeing them working collaboratively eager to convince and explain to each other why that is the right answer. This project asks for small prizes to give to student teams that win or participate in games. Incentives matter! It is my hope that by the end of the school year, students will utilize their coding skills to design a review game for themselves. Thank you for your support!
