Learning in Different Environments!

Help me give my students room dividers to set them up for individualized learning environments. Help me provide students with the ability to explore different sensory outlets.

My Students

My students are in a special education classroom for most of their school day. They bring energy, patience, and kindness into anyone who works with them. They are eager to learn and show the world what they can bring to the table. My students love going on the swings, rocking chairs, and mini trampolines.

With unique students, comes unique needs but we all share a common goal; to become as independent as possible.

We look for learning opportunities in every situation we come across to further develop our growth and progress.

My Project

Room Dividers help my students by limiting distractions and creating atmosphere that foster learning. By providing this, students will make great progress towards their learning goals. This idea is similar to adults working within a cubical.

When we are overwhelmed, learning and required focus can become frustrating; structured sensory exploration can assist students in determining how they can approach overwhelming situations.

Our sensory table would give the students opportunities to relate lessons to real world materials. It also is able to be filled with a variety of textures (sand, water, rice, etc.) for students to explore!
