This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a group of amazing students that show the eagerness to learn. It is their first year in the middle school setting and I know they are excited to embark on this new chapter in their lives.

With the help of DonorsChoose, I know my students' high expectation of an engaging education, will become a reality!

My Project

These flexible chairs will capture the attention of my English Learners and make their learning experience more comfortable than ever. Unfortunately, many of my students lack resources at home and feeling uncomfortable while learning is the last thing I want them to go through. Some come from homes where even a comfortable sleep is not possible because of a lack of funds to buy a bed. Flexible seating is an excellent way to keep students focused and engaged.

I know my students will love to enter my classroom every day and never again have to worry about sitting in stiff chairs.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
