My students include a variety of ability levels. As their ability levels vary by different backgrounds from all types, they all learn and understand in different ways. I have students in my classroom who read below grade level, who speak English as a second language, and all of them have been challenged emotionally at different levels in their personal life. I try to make my classroom as safe as possible for them, so they know that Mrs.Davis' classroom is the place where they belong and they are safe no matter what. It is my duty to help them and teach them how to cope with life itself and difficult situations.
My Project
Given that it is really hard to be able to engage the students, by them receiving mail and my constant contact with them. This project will be able to give them a different approach to their regular learning style.
Scholastic News Magazine will be able to provide a different type of engagement for them.
It will also take them away from the computer and will be able to learn real-life examples. I think that technology is good but sometimes we need a break from it all and engage in different experiences.
