I fight a daily battle against screens and getting kids to read these days in a highly social media dominated world is challenging. These graphic novels help me get kids engaging in books again! \r\n The other challenge we face are limited budgets and reduced library. Our elementary schools have gotten rid of their library and rely on only teachers supplied classroom libraries. Here we have a very small section still dedicated to fiction but it is hard to keep up with newer books with a reduced budget. I have to rely on outside donors to help put new books on our students hands.
