Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a group of 20 3rd graders from the Boston area. They are currently interacting through Google Classroom as we have shifted to distance learning. We have been reading a novel as a class but for our next novel I'm looking to allow students to have their own at home copy!

My Project

As teachers and students across the world adjust to our current circumstances, learning is still happening. The students are eager to complete posted assignments and meet with their teachers and students virtually. We are looking to do a novel study for our next Reading project and are looking for some help in funding this! While the internet has opened up so many resources and websites for kids, nothing seems to take the place of having a book in your hand to read. By donating to this project you will have fund a class set of books, 1 for each student. This will allow them to read along with their classmates and guide us in literature circles about the book! Thank you for thinking of us and helping to support our eager students!
