My Project
The majority of my students come from low-income households, single parents, and recently immigrated here to the United States. My school is a Title I school. All students receive free lunches based on socioeconomic status. As a teacher working in this area, my students are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom. For example, the language barrier, low self-esteem, and working below grade level affect their academic learning.
My goal for my students is to provide them with a safe academic environment where students feel comfortable and can achieve their learning goals.
This project will help my class get a wireless document camera which will enable all students to see hands-on learning being modeled by the teacher from anywhere in the classroom. Additionally, students will be able to show their work to their classmates as well without leaving their desk.
