Learning From A Distance!!

Help me give my students the tools they need to start the year learning from home such as storage pouches, crayons, and counters.

My Students

My students come to school, and it is their first experience in a school setting. I want this first experience to be special and memorable for them. I want them to learn, explore, experiment, and enjoy every day they come to school. If a child doesn’t want to come to school, chances are they will have a hard time learning. I want them to come into the school building with smiles on their faces and be excited for what the day brings! My students are 4 years old and have never been to school before. They live on a reservation and the population is 95 percent Native American. Many of my students are shy and just want someone to make them feel safe.

My Project

I am starting the year off with distance learning. I want to make some take home bags for my kids, so they have some materials to work with. These materials will help them count, sort, make patterns, write their names, and feel like they have things to choose from. Many of our families don’t have the resources available at their homes to work with their kids. I feel these hands on manipulates and tools will help to start their school year off on a very positive note. Kids need to feel special.
