Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are excited to learning English in creative ways. The process of glass making requires the use of science, math, and problem-solving skills. As students learn about the properties of glass and different techniques, it can stimulate their intellectual growth and expand their knowledge in these areas.

Allow my students access to hands on STEM experiences connected to glass making.

With the Studio Pro Grinder Students will learn information about glass, including its properties and where it glass comes from. They will engage in demonstrations on how art is made using glass, including opportunities to grind glass, connect pieces of glass, and construct artistic designs. They will explore the different uses of glass, both utilitarian and decorative, in our school and community. They will also use the tissue paper designs to understand the artistic and design process related to glass design. These masterpieces will then be displayed around the building for others to enjoy!

All the while, my students will learn English through these STEM experiences. Won't you help my students creatively learn through glass design?
