My students need practice cursive workbooks to learn how to write in cursive handwriting.
This project expired on August 29, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Do you remember what it was like to transition from manuscript handwriting to cursive handwriting? As a child, I eagerly waited to learn how to write such beautiful, flowing handwriting. My students share the same eagerness to learn the lost art of cursive, which is why I am requesting workbooks.
My students are hardworking, driven, and intelligent children who embrace challenges.
One of the many challenges facing a large number of students in my school is poverty. Regardless of the economic barriers my students face, they come to school each day prepared to tackle the rigorous curriculum that will help them advance in their learning. They are respectful, well-mannered children who love to learn something new, which is why I believe they would be thrilled to learn the art of cursive handwriting.
The majority of my students do not know how to read cursive and very few have a limited knowledge of how to write in cursive. I think student workbooks are essential in learning how to write in cursive and will be put to great use in our classroom! I truly believe my students will welcome the challenge of learning a new way of communicating!
I am eager to teach my students another way of writing! These student workbooks will help students discover the beauty of cursive writing and instill a long lasting practice of such script. I truly believe my students will tackle the challenge with determination!
I don't want the art of cursive writing to fade with my generation of students, like it has with so many others.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read about our classroom project!
