My students are hardworking, driven, and intelligent children who embrace challenges. One of the many challenges facing a large number of students in my school is poverty. Regardless of the economic barriers my students face, they come to school each day prepared to tackle the rigorous curriculum that will help them advance in their learning. They are respectful, well-mannered children who love to learn something new, which is why I believe they would be thrilled to learn the art of cursive handwriting. The majority of my students do not know how to read cursive and very few have a limited knowledge of how to write in cursive. I think student workbooks are essential in learning how to write in cursive and will be put to great use in our classroom! I truly believe my students will welcome the challenge of learning a new way of communicating!
