Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is made up of students in grades 1st-3rd. They come from a variety of backgrounds. All of them live below poverty level and some in a single parent home. I teach in a social emotional classroom where the students have specialized education due to their special needs. I spend a lot of my own money to provide basics for them and our classroom.
We are working towards having a successful year and need some tools in our room to do so.
My Project
We are working hard to improve our reading and math skills. During independent time, it is so helpful when the students have work they can complete on their own, especially when it is proven to help make gains. We also need some basic classroom supplies like a laminating machine, headphones, a stapler, white board markers and scissors.
