My Project

I love my students - they are an amazing group of high school students with different abilities, learning styles, and needs. They work hard every day on academics, communication, life skills, job skills, and becoming more independent. One thing I have learned is that my students learn best when they can see it, touch it, practice it, and be a part of the lesson.

A 65-inch touchscreen would give my students more opportunities to actively participate instead of simply watching me teach.

We could use it for interactive lessons, educational games, visual schedules, communication activities, money skills, reading, math, job training, and real-world life skills. Students could come to the screen to answer questions, move objects, make choices, practice skills, and work together.

For my students, learning looks different, and that is okay! This touchscreen would help me meet them where they are while making our classroom more engaging, accessible, and fun. Most importantly, it would give my students another tool to help them learn skills they can carry with them beyond the classroom and into adulthood.
