Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is unique just like our students; there is a mixture of students that attend each day. Our school is a Title I school with students that are bright and talented. These students are seeking to change generations of poverty through successful education. These students are seeking to change their future.
Dreamers, thinkers, talkers, questioners, world changers and readers are who consume our room.
Advanced readers to non-readers come in and out of my classroom in search of a good book, a book that can take them to a different world. For some, books help them escape from their own world for a portion of time.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students learning because not all students have access to the supplies they need to be successful as they finish the school year at home. Not all students have a hard surface they can work on, clipboards will allow them to be able to complete their anywhere they need. Whiteboards will allow students to work out math problems as well as engage with the class if they are able to plug into digital learning. Other supplies that are listed are so that students can complete necessary assignments through the end of the school year. I believe that these materials will not only help students in their learning at home but it will spark joy for many of my students.
