Because of you, I was able to collect a library filled with books to help teach, model and share ways to get in touch with our emotions; and boy do do we have BIG emotions in second grade! Now, to have resources to guide my students' young minds through a process of discovery and growth is making a huge impact. \r\n\r\nJust this week, as we returned from winter break, we did a brainstorming session on what we want more of and less of in 2025. My sweet students said things like they want more kindness, more respect and more learning! They want less anger and less frustration! It was so rewarding to observe them listen, learn and internalize the meanings, strategies and lessons taught throughout the many Spot books we've covered so far. \r\n\r\nI can't wait to continue down our social emotional learning path with these amazing resources.
