Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I serve a Title 1 K-6 school where students arrive to school by car or walk to school. Our school is the center of our neighborhood! Students love reading books!! They are eager to immerse themselves in nonfiction and fiction texts to broaden their knowledge and vocabulary.
My Project
This opportunity will be a stone in our path in opening doors for learning and safety at our school. New books will help students bridge their world to the world around them and excite them with every turning book page. Safety by reminding the drivers to drive safe.
New books will fill our library!
Students love to read and having new books to explore and share will encourage them to strive to improve their reading skills and consider the possibilities they have in the world around them.
Safety cones will line our streets as a reminder to drivers to heed with caution.
