Learning About the World Through Books

Help me give my students a book shelf full of windows and mirrors, seeing themselves and learning about others through books. I hope to display different types of books each month that focus on different walks of life.

My Project

My students love to read, and love our classroom library. I am hoping to make our classroom library a space for students to learn more about the world through books.

I want to use this bookshelf to feature special books every month.

These books will provide both windows and mirrors for my students to see themselves, and others in the stories they read.

I want to fill this book shelf with inspiring books for Black History Month in February. We will read these books as a class, and students will have the opportunity to look at and read these books all month long!
