Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a class of wonderful 5 and 6 year old Kindergarten students who are eager and excited to play with each other and learn from one another. In our classroom we promote diversity and a sense of community to thrive and learn from one another.
Free play is essential in helping students learn to play with each other and become life time friends.
Per Albert Einstein, "Play is the highest form of research". By having free play time my students and I will be working together to promote a happy and fun while educational atmosphere. Students will learn their ABC's and 123's while learning to play, share and care for each other.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will be used in a kitchen play area in my classroom. As of now we only have a writing station and a car area but would love to add a kitchen/house area for more interactive and imaginative play.
Free play is crucial in the development of students social skills.
Through play, children will learn how to share, take turns, communicate with each other, make home to school connections, and most importantly learn how to solve their own issues.
Please help me give my kiddos kitchen play materials to help build social skills that will be used throughout their entire life.
