This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are unique individuals with different type of learning and accommodations. They come from hard-working​ families that strive to provide and care for their children health and education. However, limited resources can hinder student’s education and make them not to attend college or even to drop out of high school quickly. Unfortunately, many of my students don’t have the resources necessary to develop their 21st century skills essential to obtain a job in today’s society. Currently, my students are using ixl math and other types of program/software that allows them to practice and drill mathematical concepts that help them improve their math skills. My students will tremendously benefit from 10 tablets in the classroom to learn and develop STEM skills needed to be successful in college. Besides, they will be able to continue advancing forward in mathematical concepts and those who needs extra time will be able to close their learning gaps. They are hard working students with perseverance and determination to reach their goals.

My Project

My goal as an educator is to provide my students with a learning environment that is safe and full of a variety of resources that will help them develop their math logical thinking skills. Therefore, the use of Surface tablets will help them to be equipped with a general understanding on how to efficiently work with a computer and complete online assignments that involve graphing and solving math problems and tests. I am certain that having access to technology will encourage learning and help them evolve until they become a master and become even faster at working mathematical concepts. Also, I strive to provide my students with a unique action plan to continue developing their abilities and more important to enjoy learning to learn. Therefore, I am asking for your generosity and support​ to help them have the access to individualize their learning needs and provide them with early intervention, so no student is left behind.
