My Project

The headphones I am requesting are bigger, better quality, and better sound for editing videos, listening to educational videos, and using interactive educational programs. For some students, blocking out the sound of classroom noise will give them better focus. One of my aspirations is to train students in creating some sort of video that will be revised and edited directly on the computer using various programs, as we do in real life.

New headphones will allow all my students to have the same interactive learning experiences across the board instead of waiting for functioning headphones or ones that fit properly.

My technology classroom consists of six 40 minute classes per day for K-8th. By the end of the year I want the students to be able to navigate through different types of internet programs and be efficient typists.

As a Title 1 school, we try to support the need for students to become fluent in all areas including technology, but as with many realities, funding presents a problem in acquiring the desired equipment. Currently, I have 30 computers in my classroom for 30+ students. Without the use of good quality equipment, students cannon complete their interactive projects/programs.
