My Students
Our Class Family is a culturally diverse, caring community of learners attending a Title One school in Jacksonville, Florida. This year, my children have learned how to learn, love, and grow during a Pandemic while enrolled in school in the "Brick and Mortar" setting. I chose to teach in person because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children who would be attending school every day. My children are compassionate, kind, and eager learners who amaze me every day with their goodness, joy, and strength.
My Project
My Class Family has worked hard to thrive in their first three months of learning in the Classroom in a "Brick and Mortar" setting. Every day, I provide my students with snack and weekly incentives for good behavior choices and meeting academic goals. My students look forward to these incentives daily. Because of the Pandemic many of my Families are unable to help contribute to daily snack and even more so, are unable to continue to sustain their own Families nutritional needs at home. Our Classroom daily snack is a blessing to my children.
This project will provide much needed daily snack for my children during the winter months and will also help replenish our health and wellness needs with hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, Kleenex and Classroom supplies which typically start to run low in the middle of the year.
This project will make a huge difference in the lives of my children every day and will also help me to not have to ask my Families for this support during this critical time of need. This project will be far reaching to help my children and their Families beyond my Classroom walls.
