Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a high poverty area. Over 90% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Thankfully, we are able to take part in a grant that provides free lunch and breakfast to all our students. I teach special education to students from kindergarten to fifth grade with a wide range of strengths and abilities.

COVID-19 has changed what teaching and learning looks like, we are now learning from home and online.

These math games will give my older students a chance to learn and review from home through playing engaging games with their families.

My Project

My students need engaging ways to learn and review from home. These games provide my older students a way to improve on their math skills. My third graders had just learned how to multiply before our school building closed. Multiplication towers will keep them reviewing this skill and playing a fun towers game.

Pop to win math games and math star word problems will encourage my fourth and fifth graders to review concepts from the past year at home while playing with family.

COVID-19 has changed what school looks like at the moment, but that doesn't mean my students have quit learning.
