Learn About Gel Electrophoresis and Diseases

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn about DNA mutations and diseases caused by mutations. Students will better understand the disease causes while also learning about gel electrophoresis to learn about how to compare DNA samples.

My Project

High school is a great time to learn about Gel Electrophoresis and how it is used to compare DNA samples. Helping students not only understand what the process is, but how it can be helpful for their own lives in the future can be eye-opening for students.

With the opportunity this kit gives to students to fully understand the process of gel electrophoresis, students can gain valuable information while also helping them become more interested in maybe going into STEM careers in the future.

I hope to bring in more opportunities to my lab classes to help students learn valuable information that could one day save their lives, or the lives of their loved ones.
