This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 8th grade Special Education students are presently learning how to design their mission statement and create realistic short term and long term goal. They keep each other and themselves accountable by tracking their assessment grades, attendance and participation. This is where the binders come into play. In their binders they have 5 sections: This is Who I Am, Trackers, Goal Sheets, Celebrations and Calendar or important events and notices. Unfortunately because many of my students live in temporary housing, it is difficult for their parents to buy all the supplies they need. Please help me give the students who can’t afford a binder the opportunity to keep their papers in order and not be singled out from the rest of the class. Thank you .
