Launch of Learning at a Distance

My Students

I love seeing my students every day and watch the joy of learning in their faces. In all my years of teaching I never thought I would not get to say goodbye to my students and possibly not meet next year's students right away.

Though it is very sad I can’t be the same room with my students.

I am determined that they will continue to grow and learn. I am determined that they will see and hear me every day through distance learning platforms. My students and I will continue their academics and try and do science experiments through distance learning platforms.

My Project

My 3rd graders have stepped up and accepted the challenge of Learning From a Distance as our district calls it. They have become very confident users for Google Classroom and Hangout Meets. They are ready and willing to accept any challenge that comes their way. These amazing 3rd graders have requested that our Google Meetings become something more.

My amazing 3rd graders have asked me over and over again to project their favorite stories as I read to them.

To be able to meet their request involves a document camera like the OKIOCAM T USB Camera for Distance Learning. This document camera will enable me to open a book and project both pages for all students to see. Enhancing our Learning From a Distance does not stop there. This document camera will enable me to model writing lessons and math lessons from home so students can see it on their devices in their homes. This document camera will enable learning to continue in their home.

The ProCase Hard Travel Tech Case Bag will allow me to keep this document camera safe and protected so it will be ready to be used for the next school year or sometime further in the future,
