This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is so important for my students to use many different types of professional engineering tools in our Robotics Classroom. Laser cutters and engravers are commonplace in many STEM careers, but they are not tools that are accessible to students in their daily lives.
Students need to be able to complete the entire design process by planning, refining, testing, coding, and manufacturing.
The laser cutter will be used by students to manufacture products designed in their robotics class.
Student have already learned how to use the program CAD (Computer Aid Design) to design their ideas on the computer. This laser cutter will join our 3d printer and Cricut in our Maker Station Studio, allowing students to create robotic parts, art, and prototypes for other projects.
