My Project

Aloha! I'm a middle school special education teacher finishing my 5th year as a teacher. I teach 6th, 7th & 8th-grade special education students.

It's my goal with this project to help students to create in the Special Education classroom in order to spread wellness and kindness to those around them.

There are a couple key learning outcomes for this project.

1) Students would embody the idea of the "blessing being in the giving"

2) Learn and create using the laser engraver to design items that will be a blessing to others at school and in the community.

3) Give those created items away in order to promote wellness and kindness.

--> All of the supplies for this project are hard wood or acrylic glowforge materials to be used in the design of items for this project.

Students will be able to be hands on as they learn a new skill that they can take with them beyond my classroom while encouraging others to embody wellness through giving.

Imagine special education students fully engaged in learning as they tinker and create with these supplies That's what your donation will do for my classroom.

I'd like to have the opportunity to receive the Cricut mug press and easy press to enhance classroom engagement. In the end, I want to create a classroom learning environment for my students that sparks creativity, motivates learning, and helps students feel welcomed.
