My Project

I am taking a Educators course at the University of Cincinnati to learn more about MakerSpaces in Education. I have found that there are amazing things we can add to our classrooms so that students can effectively make things that are from their own creativity.

Laser Cutters allow students to physically design, create, modify, and problem solve their own designs.

This will also prepare students for future careers in fields like engieering, design, and manufacturing. The students can use creative thinking and experimentation to build and design on the laser cutter too.

I have so many amazing ideas of how this laser cutter will help our school too! I have been reading about how older students can design things for classroom teacher's needs like organization shelves or models for their class. Older students can make younger students puzzles or toys. They can make school store things like keychains or earrings for fundraisers. We can make school awards or trophies to give to our students to celebrate their wins too.
