Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 26 students come from diverse backgrounds. Many speak English as a second language and come from low-income homes. The students are eager to learn and value their time spent at school. The Early Development Index has shown that students in La Habra come to school less prepared than anywhere else in the county.

This is my second year in this school with classroom due to a successful reconfiguration in the district to support families.
My Project
Kindergarteners may be small but providing them with plenty of room to work and play enhances their school experience.
These two activity tables will allow them to have a large space to collaborate and discover as they develop both socially and academically.
The availability of the solid work surface will give them another option for learning with space to be creative and express themselves. Having quality materials in the classroom always makes the students feel valued and even more excited about our activities. Whether working together or on their own, the tables can provide flexibility for many students in the classroom environment.
