Large Carpet for Integrating Read Alouds Into My Stem class.

My Project

In our STEM class I try to integrate read alouds into the lesson to expand my students' exposure to rich texts and various forms of literatures.

Reading aloud is a foundational skill that a lot of our younger students don't get at home.

I would like one specific area for them to sit in will help them maintain focus on the story before we begin our STEM projects.

By having one large carpet instead of several smaller ones, the students will be able to come in and focus on the new story and not trying to find a specific place to sit. It will also serve as an anchor and emphasize the importance of that specific space for listening to stories.
