Your kindness provided our students with a meaningful opportunity to celebrate an important milestone in their lives.\r\n\r\nThrough a step-by-step, teacher-guided painting experience, each student created a beautiful tree with spreading branches. The tree symbolized the tremendous growth each child has experienced throughout their elementary years, while the branches represented the many new directions they will take as they move on to the next chapter of their education.\r\n\r\nOne of the most special parts of this project was the opportunity for students to sign one another's paintings. These signatures transformed each canvas into a treasured keepsake, filled with memories of friendships, shared experiences, and the bonds they formed during their elementary school years.\r\n\r\nThis project did more than create artwork—it fostered a sense of unity among our students and provided them with a lasting reminder of their time together. As they look back on their paintings in the years to come, they will remember not only their personal growth but also the support and encouragement of their classmates and community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity made this experience possible. The feelings poster has become an important visual tool for helping students identify, express, and discuss their emotions. Many of my students struggle with emotional awareness and communication, and having a clear visual reference has supported meaningful conversations about feelings while building essential social communication skills.\r\n\r\nThe water timers have also been a valuable addition, helping students better understand the passage of time and stay engaged during therapy activities, transitions, and turn-taking tasks. The Velcro has allowed me to create customized visual schedules that provide structure and predictability for students who benefit from visual supports. These schedules help students understand expectations, reduce anxiety, and increase independence throughout therapy sessions.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the scratch-and-sniff stickers have served as a highly motivating reward that encourages participation and effort. Students are excited to earn these special incentives, which helps maintain engagement and creates positive therapy experiences.
