Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Welcome to VPK. The place where you make friends, learn social skills, and take the fist step into formal education. We learn from our mistakes and celebrate accomplishments. We work together and build a school family.

Many of our students have never been in school and have never interacted in a large group of friends.

Others are excelling at a faster pace and already recognize letters and their sounds. They are all unique and learn in vastly different ways. To make a classroom successful you need the tools to give every child the opportunity to succeed.

My Project

With technology such a fundamental piece in today's society laptops are necessary to allow students to explore. In the classroom we dance, exercise, and use videos to expand the knowledge of my students.

The laptops also give us access to new websites and educational games online that engage the students.

The laptops will also open up the opportunity for teachers to create exciting new lesson plans and open up teacher and parent communication. Through online use teachers can communicate with parents and encourage them to continue what their child is learning at home. Example work and extra learning opportunities can be created on an online platform to better the students.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
