My Students

I am a General Education teacher for 30 wonderful third-grade students in Bronx, NY. We are all back at school and my students are slowly adjusting. Each student is unique and special in his or her own way, and I look forward to seeing their smiles each and every school day! My school is a Title 1 school consisting of culturally and linguistically diverse students within a low socio-economic community. My students have varying levels of English proficiency, and half have been diagnosed with various disabilities such as ADHD, autism, speech impairments, and other learning disabilities.

As a teacher, it is a joy to see the students working cooperatively and supporting each other socially and academically.

My Project

In the year 2021, technology in the classroom is a wonderful and helpful tool in a child's education. My school is fortunate enough to have the accessibility to a number of math and reading educational websites. Unfortunately, we do not have enough technology in the classroom. My students do not have the opportunity to get on the computer and explore fun and engaging websites.

A laptop is the perfect piece of technology that is small enough and lightweight where my kiddos can grab and go!

My early finishers or students who need extra support would greatly benefit from having this piece of technology in the classroom!
