This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I teach the most amazing 6, 7, and 8th graders. Mostly science, but I also teach Spanish, Math, Gardening, and SEL lessons. Aside from the many subjects I teach, there are many other responsibilities that I have within my school community. This includes analyzing and preparing school-wide data, conducting student surveys, updating student media, and preparing the senior yearbook. When I first came into this profession, I used my first paycheck to purchase a computer for my lesson planning and work-related responsibilities. My sweet laptop is rapidly aging and can no longer withstand the umpteen tabs and high demands of my many tasks, often dying and needs to stay charging throughout the entire day.
Help me update my technology to give students more interactive lessons and clearer, less 'laggy' visuals.
This new MacBook has the M3 chip that boosts productivity with multi-tasking. Students yelling at me to close tabs to prevent lagging would be a thing of the past! Your donation would be put to good use by incorporating high tech lessons for my students, more detailed and clearer visuals like videos and science simulations for my students to engage with at our Smart Board. A new laptop will assist with differentiation for SWD's and ELL's alike!
Please find it in your heart to help me with this new device.
